We believe in a #Sungrown future
Tantalus Labs was founded on a commitment to advancing the frontier of cannabis through first-principles reasoning. We aspire to cultivate world-class cannabis in technical greenhouses, evolving away from the bunker grow-op. We are a team of scientists, designers, and engineers committed to building a Sungrown future.
Cannabis has traditionally been cultivated under a veil, in bunkers and basements. To provide the light necessary for plant growth, artificial lamps tried in vain to emulate the power of sunlight. Today, we are watching a cultural revolution in cannabis growing. Bunker grow-ops are being replaced worldwide by structures that push cannabis cultivation towards a brighter future - modern, specialized greenhouses.
Tantalus Labs cultivates sun-grown cannabis in specialized greenhouses. The company was founded in 2012 to revolutionize cannabis cultivation methods, using closed system greenhouses at the cutting edge of agricultural science. With the help of the Sungrown community, we are building a brighter future for cannabis.
Nearly 1% of North America's energy is currently used by indoor cannabis producers. It is an unspoken and unnecessary drain on the grid. Innovative companies and their customers can change this.
It's simple. Would you grow tomatoes in a closet?
